This is a guide for Idiots, Le Mans virgins and general Muppets to the Le Mans 24hrs - sorry if it's a bit basic, but it should answer most of the questions, and it's been gathered from Le Mans veterans who've been going for years! Also, can you forward me your email address and mobile phone number, and I'll collate them for everyone.

I guess we all know the plan by now, although if not it is simple : Get to the Calais Ibis Hotel car park

flag & flag pole - I have a BAR flag..?
First Aid Kit - Got one of these in my boot
T-Shirts - Can supply a design.
Car Stickers - working on these, got magnetic paper stuff and doodling in the evenings
Corkscrew & Bottle Opener - I will bring a waiters friend, I suggest we bring more than one though as they are easy to lose when drunk.
Frying pan (large and old) - I can bring one
Saucepans (old) - will bring some camping billys, but they are a bit small for large scale cooking, suggest some larger ones, but I will bring mine anyway
Ghetto Blaster - how is this going to be powered?

I have a link to another le Man Map which I have printed out at home. will post in a second.

No excuse to get lost now, other than being to drunk to walk straight.

Are we going to share spare wheels? seriously!

I figure if at least two or 3 people take them then we'd have to be seriously unlucky to run out of them and in the meantime we'd get a bit more space to fill the boot

ok, it is just that from experience, anything other than the radio eats batteries very quickly I have one that has been gathering dust for years - has no CD, just tapes ( a BIG for battery power) but is loud and I wouldn't really care if it got nicked or blew up following a few 1664s being emptied into it.

Spare wheel thing is a good idea. Volunteers (pref. anyone on their own and/or not trying to fit a gazebo or anything large in their boot...)?

I have a wind up radio if powering a ghetto blaster is a problem. Batteries never last very long.
Pass holders - I'll go and work on the girls at the Customer Visitor Centre and see if I can blag 30 or so.
Might also be able to blag some electric fence posts for marking off the campsite, someone could even wire the fence up to their battery if they were feeling brave about battery life (wouldn't recommend it but someone might....)
