Tried the "Pepsi Challenge" on the hood. NXT on the right (driver's side)

Nanowax on the left.


I think they both looked pretty good. I liked the idea of a synthetic so I waxed the S2000 with NXT after the comparison.

In your opinion, Is there a winner? I can not tell a differerence from the pictures. How about ease, is there a winner there?

Thanks, guys. Honestly - I can't tell the difference either. I'm leaning towards the NXT because it is a synthetic - but from a shine/swirl hiding standpoint - pretty much a tie.

Ease of application/removal - I give a slight edge to Nanowax. Again - it's pretty much the same.

For that matter - both of them smell pretty good too.

I figured that for a fraction of the price and time investment compared to Zaino - I could try 'em both.

Now if I could just find a cone-resistant product... hehe...

I waxed the S2000 not because it needed it, but because I had a bunch of cone marks that needed to be removed with Scratch-X.

hehe... Dave - I'm afraid I'd lose some body parts if I ever got hold of a chainsaw.

The pesky cones in question are more of this variety...

Lol, chainsaw will take care of those too but I suspect the SCAA folks might not approve of the modification.

hmmm... as long as the base of the cone stays in the box - no penalty. Wonder if I can get through tech with the chainsaw sticking out Spartacus style.

Seriously though... I'll report back on the durability issue. Shouldn't take long as the car isn't garaged.

I'm expecting that the NXT - being a synthetic will last longer but we'll see!

Really though - I tend to wax/polish before I *need* to just because I find it kind of theraputic.
