Stock rearend means no gears? If so I don't even have to contemplate competing....

They aren't even in yet. don't change your gears till after OTC.

But these rules aren't fixed in stone. If everyone else doesn't mind your gears then I don't mind Just trying to keep things equal

I'd say we have till the end of december to agree on the rules. But until then we can change them.

Does anyone object to allowing any rear-gear?

2 ideas to fix the gear problem:

SV-style point system
Penalty weight

Or a combination of the two

- Interest level at 6 at this time.
- Shocks I expect mean shock & soring (i.e. coilovers allowed)
- Any brakepad should be allowed as different makes would not affect laptimes significantly (and some like me like the endurance pads )
- Why not allow any wheels, just limit to RA1's (or RA1, PSC, and Kumho) and max size (275). I would like to use my stock wheels with street tires for the journey between tracks.
- Pulling a trailer should be allowed since not all will have access to a support vehicle.

good suggestion, I'd favor the penalty weight system over a points system. things can get debatable in terms of points.

Pulling a trailer is fine. No trailers means that you can not tow the car between tracks. If there are enuf of us we can bring an extra truck for a shared support vehicle.

I too agree that a weight system is better than a points one.

I have the scales and will be weighing each of the cars at the start of the event and probably again at some point mid week.
